On the topic of erasing under represented groups, it is possible to be of a marginalized or oppressed group and still contribute to systematic oppression and under representation of people. You can be gay, trans*, lesbian, and still contribute to queer erasure. You can be a person of color, and contribute to the under representation of PoC. Largely without realizing that you are. Just because you are one person who is of that group and are fine with [insert it here], does not mean you suddenly demolish the entire rule. An exception does not dismantle a rule. So none of that “oh but I’m pansexual an I’m fine with this”, because you do not speak for everyone within the community you stem from and you should be sensitive towards that fact.
